Faith for the Young Ones

The Worry Worm
Story by Lazer Brody
Written and Illustrated by Rebecca Shapiro

The Worry Worm is a great book for children that teaches emuna at a level that 3 and 4 year olds can understand. Older kids love it too.

The story about two worms in an apple has beautiful, bright, vibrant illustrations, children love it!

You can order the book at Emuna Beams and begin strengthening a child's emuna and trust in Hashem at an early age. Makes a great gift!

Faith in Action with a Happy Ending!

The doctors advised the young mother to have an abortion, they said the unborn baby would not live. Watch this video to see what happens when she and her husband turned to Hashem instead. An Emuna miracle!

Pain and Suffering

During times of deep pain or intense suffering:

When words and cries don't help, cry deep in your heart without letting out a sound. - Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, Likutey Moharan II, 5

From the book A Joyous Heart - Torah Healing Wisdom, translated and edited by Avraham Greenbaum.

Messianic Judaism - Christianity or Judaism?

Is the Messianic Jewish movement authentic Judaism or is it just another form of Christianity? Since most "Messianic congregations" consist mostly of non-Jewish members, you need to be aware of what it is and isn't.

Packaging, Presentation and Deceptive Marketing

In the retail business we know that packaging and presentation contribute a large part to the success of a product. A product with low sales volume can suddenly turn around and generate high sales after re-packaging.

So what does marketing have to do with this? In an attempt to convert Jews to Christianity (G-d forbid), it has been re-packaged and falsely presented as a form of Judaism. Non-Jews seeking to learn about Judaism are also vulnerable.

The movement consists of several different groups and factions, but they do have a lot in common with each other. Their leaders are often called "rabbi", they use the word "synagogue" instead of church and their vocabulary is sprinkled with words and phrases such as "completed Jew" and "Hebrew Christian".

Christianity and Judaism are two entirely different religions. "Messianic Judaism" is not authentic Judaism. The differences in beliefs go much further than just the "identity of the messiah" issue.

At www.OutreachJudaism.org, Rabbi Tovia Singer addresses these differences in his Let's Get Biblical series of lectures. They are available free to download or you can order them on cd's. He also has an in-depth study guide you can purchase.

Please listen to these lectures, it will be well worth your time.

Alice Jonsson - Noahide Correspondent at Breslov World

Alice Jonsson is a talented, insightful writer. You don't want to miss her article titled The Ellusive Zone, where she explores disappointments and expectations.

Alice has written quite a few articles for Breslov World and I find myself looking forward to them each week. One of my favorites is titled Banana What?. There she talks about an experience that unites all B'nei Noach (Noahides). You will enjoy reading it!

I also want to send a special Thank You! to Breslov World for making Alice Jonsson's writings available to us.
